Editorial standards

This page explains how Mind Money Life is written, what it is for, and what you can hold me to.

What this site is

Mind Money Life explains everyday money behaviour — the feelings, habits and people behind it — using what I know as a Chartered Accountant, what I am learning in psychology, and ordinary life.

What this site is not

  • It is not personal financial, tax or investment advice. Nothing here is written for your situation.
  • It is not counselling or therapy. I am studying psychology; I am not your counsellor.
  • It does not tell you what to buy, sell or where to put your money.

How I use evidence

  • When a point rests on research or data, I name the source and its date under “Sources & further reading”.
  • When a point is my own observation, I say so in words like “in my experience” or “I have noticed”.
  • The habits I write about are small, practical ideas to try and reflect on — not tested treatments, and not promises.
  • Stories are illustrative unless I clearly say otherwise. A real person’s story appears only with their consent.

Independence

There is nothing to buy on Mind Money Life, and the site does not publish paid or sponsored content. If that ever changes, the page concerned will say so clearly, and this page will be updated first.

Corrections

If something I wrote is wrong or out of date, I correct it and show the date of the change at the top of the article. You can point out a mistake in the comments or on Instagram at @mind_money_life.

How I use AI tools

I use AI tools to help me research, draft and edit. I choose every topic, check every fact and approve every word before it is published — and I am responsible for all of it.

Comments

Comments are read before they appear. I remove spam, selling and anything unkind. Replies are my own thoughts, not advice for your situation.
